Student Council consists of hard-working students who want to make a difference in their school. The Council is responsible for working with the administration and faculty of LRHS to seek change and development and to serve as a forum through which students can express suggestions. Members participate in such activities as organizing Homecoming and all elections, food drives for the community, blood drives, various service activities for organizations such as St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Student Council gives students the opportunity to develop democratic ideals and leadership abilities.
