Tri-M is the international music honor society formerly named for the “Modern Music Masters” among middle and high school students involved in school music programs and classes. The members of Tri-M where nominated based on their musical talents, character, cooperation, leadership, and service. Tri-M members must also maintain a “C” average in their academic studies and an “A” average in their music courses (“B” will be accepted in musical honors courses).

Tri-M is musically vital to the rest of the school community and looked to for help with events held by local organizations. Members are expected to contribute to the local community by volunteering for soloist and ensemble performances at any community function they may represent and by honoring those in the community who gave/have given to the school music programs.

Members receive a Tri-M pin and membership card upon induction and graduation cords and the international Tri-M gold seal on their diplomas at the time of high school graduation. Among other things our chapter gives achievement awards to outstanding musical seniors, which is recognized at a national level.

Tri-M is a society of musicians who strive to inspire and challenge each other to reach their full musical potential.
