Shared Expectations for all ninth grade teachers:

  • All students will be academically engaged at all times throughout the day.

  • Classroom Expectations will be explained on the first day of school.

  • No headphones, sleeping, or the use of cell phones.  Cell phones may not be visible and must be turned to silent.

  • Make-up work will be assigned to the student the day of the student’s return. The student will have the same amount of time to complete the work as if they were attending on the day of the assignment.
Student behavior will not disrupt the learning environment. 

Disruptive behavior will decrease by using the following strategies:

  • Increased communication with parents via phone calls, email, and conferences

  • Team teacher meetings will occur in order to focus on the progress of the students’ behavior.

  • Administrators will be visible in all ninth grade classrooms, each period of the day.  Quick Administrator Conferences will occur as needed.
