Since the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year, the first generation of iMAG students participated in the following projects:
Students were hired to redesign the logo and branding
for a local card shop and
provided research and consultation for increasing sales.
As a public service campaign for the media Center, students designed and
printed a series of posters featuring each of the acadeny students holding a book to encourage reading.
As part of the iMAG website design, each student used Adobe Illustrator to trace photographs of themselves to create avatars
for their web pages.
Students wrote, formatted, designed and printed a Parent Newsletter describing activities in the academy.
Students designed and printed a complimentary guide to text messaging abbreviations for the teachers and administration at Lake Region High School.
As a public service, the community service committee adopted a family from Snively Elementary for Christmas.
As a community service project, academy students went to local McDonald's restaurants to collect funds for the Ronald McDonald House. While there, they painted faces and gave out balloons. They also sold Cany Cane Grams at school to raise additional money for the Ronald McDonald House.
Students were hired to design a logo and business cards for a new company called United Rads, which provides radiology interpretation services to physicians via the internet.
Despite the fact that iMAG students have participated in
DECA for only one semester, they achieved impressive wins at the
Polk County Regional
conference in January.
